“There is no longer a “pilot season” as new pilots are coming out almost daily. Back in the day when there were only 4 networks, pilot season was Jan – Apr and then again Aug – Oct (for mid-season replacements).
We have actors going out for pilots (2 yesterday and one tomorrow) almost everyday. So the myth and the allure of coming to LA for pilot season is gone! With all the networks and other media – we no longer have seasons.”, says Jacque Pedersen, pro agent for over 30 years.
