How many of you out there have been laid off recently? It’s tough – I know!!

Not only is it a good time to work freelance or start your own company, it’s a good time to try and get your child into the modeling/acting industry. Being involved in this industry takes a LOT of time and patience, and when your child gets representation it takes a lot of running around to castings, callbacks, etc.

Tell me about your story if you’ve been laid off recently – it may be time to start your own business!

We are getting our CuteKids on national TV!!!

As some of you already know, I am working with several media outlets to get our CuteKids more exposure.

This Saturday I am going to be a guest expert for a segment on baby products on a national morning news show which we will announce on Friday for you to watch on TV. We are casting for a baby who will be featured in a stroller. Mom or Dad will be close by, but may be out of the baby’s view for a moment so please take this into consideration when sending in your child.

If you are interested in participating, you must be available to come to New York City between the hours of 5am – 10am Saturday, May 2nd…I do not have a specific time yet, but the entire airing should take about 2 hours during that time frame.

We are looking for babies from infancy to 1 year old. All ethnicities and sexes will be considered.

Requirements:

You MUST be available the morning of Saturday, May 2nd.

Child being submitted must be a registered member of www.TheCuteKid.com.

If you want your child to be on national television, here is what you do:

• Email your child’s photo (maximum of 2 pictures per person and make sure they are head shots that are close-up and in focus) to Casting@TheCuteKid.com
• Include your and the baby’s full name, child’s date of birth and contact information including email, cell phone and the CITY, STATE WHERE YOU LIVE.
• Do all of this NO LATER THAN 5PM WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29TH.

IF YOU DO NOT HEAR FROM US BY FRIDAY, MAY 1st THEN YOUR BABY WAS NOT CHOSEN THIS TIME, but stay tuned for more opportunities from TheCuteKid.com!!

TheCuteKid.com is getting discovered more and more every day!!

Wouldn’t you know it, we were all SO excited here at CuteKid to spread the wonderful news of our happy and successful members!!

This unfortunately happens all the time with the modeling/acting industries…sometimes you even do the job and they still don’t use you! Most of you know what I’m talking about – and the ones that don’t, even just going to an open call and having them fawn all over your child then never calling you is the same type of feeling.

That is why we all need to stay positive, keep doing what we’re doing and encourage and support each other just like we do on TheCuteKid.com!!

We are continually working on new opportunities for you, and as the word spreads we are getting more and more positive attention every day.

Did anyone go to the Wilhelmina open call last Friday in New York City?  How did you do?

Open calls are a GREAT WAY to get in to see an agency in person…it may be chaotic, but so is the business!

I know some of you are frustrated, because most (if not all) talent agencies do not start seeing children for acting until the age of 4 years old…but hang in there, because there is always modeling until that age!!

By the way, a tip for talent agencies - some of them have a division called “commercial print” where they will accept kids (for modeling) under 4!! The way to find out? Call them up and see or go on their website and check out what “divisions” they have.

They have re-scheduled the show for Saturday, April 18th, and they are asking us to bring members of TheCuteKid.com LIVE onto their show!! The anchor will be interviewing the parent and possibly the child about their modeling or acting career and their experience with TheCuteKid.

Whoever is interested in participating in this must be available to come to New York City between the hours of 5am – 10am Saturday, April 18th…I do not have a specific time yet, but the entire airing should take about 2 hours during that timeframe.

We are looking for one parent per each Cute Kid plus however many CuteKids you have registered with us. All ethnicities and ages will be considered.

Requirements:

You MUST be available the morning of Saturday, April 18th.  If you are from outside of the tri-state area, you have to arrive the day before by 6pm.

Child being submitted has to be a registered member of www.TheCuteKid.com.

If you want to be on national television, please email yours and your child’s photo (maximum of 1 picture per each person and make sure they are head shots that are close-up and in focus), your full names, child’s date of birth and contact information including email and cell phone to casting@thecutekid.com – NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, APRIL 9th.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a TENTATIVELY booked segment so far, but we’re hoping for the best and are trying to give our members the opportunity to be on national TV.
