LOOKING FOR CUTEKIDS IN THE NEW ORLEANS AREA!
Written by judy on October 28, 2009 – 1:02 pm -Immediate Casting Boys & Girls for Print Photo Shoot
A major New Orleans Modeling Agency is casting boys and girls for an upcoming print photo shoot. The height of the children is very important- the child must be within the following heights in order to be considered for the role.
The agency is seeking boys and girls of any ethnicity 41-44 inches tall. The kids should not be smaller, otherwise the clothes will not fit. They are also seeking Caucasian girls with a “Ralph Lauren” look, 55-58 inches and Caucasian boys with a “Ralph Lauren” look, 59-62 inches.
*You must be located in the New Orleans area.
The shoot dates will be between Nov. 19- Dec. 1, 2009. This is a paying job.
They are casting immediately. Please send a recent photo, child’s height, size, child’s name & parent’s contact info to judyg@thecutekid.com BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30TH, and we will contact you if the agency would like to send you to the casting which will take place in the next 2 weeks.
Thank-you and GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks for the agency name here. We did contact them this past summer and they wanted to sign her, but they wanted anywhere from $500.00 to $3,000.00 to get her started for pictures and classes. Everything I read said not to pay for services so we didn’t sign with them. They pushed the AMTC thing in Florida hard! Had us watch a video and said that is what part of the money was going to get her ready for. Have you heard of the AMTC and is that a good thing?

Hi Jana!
Unfortunately, yes – you do need to live in a larger city (or near one) to start a career. There are some exceptions, but very few. If you are willing to move to NY or LA for a summer, then I would suggest sending pictures into agencies there.
But in the meantime, here is an agency that looks legtimate in your area and represents kids: http://www.michaelturneyagency.com/
I do not know them personally, but they look good.
Good luck!

Judy,
We live 3 hours from Dallas and about 5 hours from New Orleans. These are the closest big cities to us. It seems like when you don’t live in a big area there is not alot of hope for you. Do you know of any good agencies near us that I could send pics into. We live in Shreveport, LA. We have only been at this for about 4 months and I know it is slow, but any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. My daughter has gotten one local magazine cover that we were very excited about. Thanks for any advice you have.

Definitely the hardest part is waiting!! I know how you feel – I modeled for years…still doing it! It’s tough with a kid, because there are more limited jobs (and also with an older person). When I was modeling full-time as a teen, I would go on a casting then forget about it or it would drive me CRAZY.
Good luck!!

Hi Jana!
We are in the process of contacting people now. Give it another week, and if you don’t hear anything by then, try again the next time!
Thanks for posting
