Folks, you heard it here (almost) first! The 2009 Baby Gap and Gap Kid Casting Call Contest is underway!

The submission peroid started yesterday, September 22, 2009 and will end October 22, 2009. From there (October 23, 2009-December 4, 2009) a panel of judges will choose 5 children from each category (babyGap girl, babyGap boy, GapKids girl and GapKids boy) to be the finalists.

Children 0-4 are eligible for the babyGap categories and children 5-10 are eligible for the GapKids categories.

Once the finalists are picked it’s up to a popular vote by the public (December 7, 2009 – December 21, 2009). People may vote once per day and MUST vote on each category (babyGap girl, babyGap boy, GapKids girl and GapKids boy) in order for their vote to count.

There will be one winner in each babyGap and GapKid category and the GapKid winners and the babyGap winners will all receive a professional Gap photo shoot, their photos used in babyGap and GapKid stores nationwide, $1,000 gift card to babyGap or GapKids stores and a trip to see Disney’s the Lion King in Las Vegas or NYC.

Winners will be announced on or about Feb 1, 2009.

$50 donation entry fee gets your child entered into the March of Dimes NY Contest AND The CuteKid online photo contest judged by professional talent and casting agents

Maddie

The loss of Maddie this year took the Twitter world by storm. She was helped by March of Dimes when she was born to help her lungs develop. A happy, smart and loving little girl, she is survived by her parents Heather and Mike who avidly support the March of Dimes.

Thomas - Last Year's Runner Up

Thomas Paul, the second of a set of identical twins was born 23 weeks early. Sadly, his brother Michael James lost his life just 3 weeks due to complications from his prematurity. Thomas Paul was helped by the March of Dimes for the first 4 months of his life & has come so far. He is truly a miracle child!
