I question a few things about the site.
One… how many judges are judging the contest? Two… what’s the percentage of kids that win that have blue eyes? My son has brown eyes and I entered a recent monthly contest noticing the previous winners were predominately blue-eyed. I thought… what the heck, why not give it a whirl anyway. Sure enough… five out of the six winners had blue eyes (month of February 2012). I’m not even saying the picture of boy who won the category my son was in shouldn’t have won… I’m just wondering if my son really had much of a shot because he has brown eyes and almost all their winners have blue.
The 2nd thing I noticed… is that the honorable mentions haven’t been posted this month… and we are already halfway through March. When exactly are they going to post them. I check in every day to see if he made “honorable mentions”.
Third… while I don’t have a problem with the picture of the boy who won the contest my son was in, I do have a problem with the January 2012 “baby” winner. How did he win over the honorable mention baby? I’d bet 9 out of 10 people would have gone the other way with that vote. I guess I’m wondering… what are you looking at?
I have a very cute son who’s one year’s old and when I look at all the submitted pictures (the previews) my son’s pictures are easily better than all of them. But perhaps that’s by design… to get people to sign up thinking they have a decent chance to win. Regardless I think he has a decent chance to win… so long as the blue-eyed bias isn’t really there… and that it’s all just in my head. But until I start seeing more winners with brown-eyes, it’s going to be hard to dismiss.

Hi,
I’m a bubbe on disability but I was so drawn to this site because my granddaughter is such a mixture of culture (Japanese,Jewish,Persian,French,Italian,Russian,English,German,Polish) that she has such a different look. I know I’m probably like everyone else who thinks their children are adorable, but I’ve often been told that her coloring and bright shiny face would be great for a child model. I don’t know, but would like to give her a shot; I can’t afford the monthly fee…what would you do if you were me? I have submitted some free pics a while back, but then I got something saying it required fees to actually enter the contest so I didn’t…

Thank you soooo much for the resources and accolades — Sean Thomas has really blossomed as a model and actor due entirely to the assistance of Judy Goss, the VIP Club, and TheCuteKid in general. Chloe has been picked by Parents.com 4 times now for Parents Photo Faves. She hasn’t won yet, but just knowing how many children are on Cutekid.com, it is just amazing how many times she has been singled out. She is a member of the VIP club, just done her first fashion runway show at Beall’s and is now a member of 2 agencies one who I have noticed is affiliated with Cutekid.com. We are very excited, this is just the beginning of a journey, she is only 5 years old!

My Grandson was entered in the Cute Kids with Cute Lids…didn’t win and that’s fine. My question is if its for cute kids with cute lids how can you let someone win who doesn’t even have a lid on ? Says to submit pics of kids with lids on. Such is life and done with supporting your site. A rip off !!!

My 14 month old son Hayden is a member of the VIP Kids Club. I read all of the very useful information on how to get your kid discovered, and before I knew it he had a meeting with an agency where they decided to sign him!! The Youth Agency is now his agent and they even want to send him to LA!

I’ve just registered my kids into the contest stupidly not realizing that this is a US company. Could anyone please give me any feedback as to how to contact the Cute Kid Staff as the “Contact US” on their website will not submit through successfully as it’s requesting my “STATE” but obviously that only applies to US residents.. Also are there any Australian’s that have registered there kids in this contest? **HELP**

I am a new member and had questions hope for a good respond, appreciate so much if the organizer willing to give “Asian Babies/Kids” and opportunity to becomes one of the winner’s in this contest.
PLEASE give us a chance. Hoping they will come out with asian categories ‘cute kids’ or perhaps a small gift or cash token towards all participants all over the world. I would love to suggest the casting agencies in your country to create some activities or programme in Asian to promote their products, inspite this effort it’s also helping the kids to venture a better life.
As a few viewers posted on the testimonials recommended it would be nice to get some type of feedback as we already spend $20usd just to enter our baby picture in this contest, as we in ‘Asia’ have to spend quite some of money when it converted to US dollars.

I have been a member of the cute kid since early 2008! I enter both of my kids pictures for the first time into the contest! Even though they didn’t win, I still enjoy this site..It’s an awsome opportunity to get exposure, My Daughter Vanessa is a natural cutiepie..She loves it when Mommy takes her pictures and shes always surprising me with her cute faces…I have hope that one day she will win a contest or be seen by one of the agents and will fall inlove with her natural look…Bryan on the other hand is not to much into modeling as he use to be when he was little…Thats why i only enter Vanessa whos now 3 into Aprils contest…Thank you Thecutekid for giving us this great opportunity! What do the different medals indicate? I enter 3 different pics of my daughter and they all have the official “cute kid” stamp and what looks to be a gold medal. I’m not sure if that gold, or maybe bronze? And does that mean she qualifies for the CuteKid of the Year? Please let me know. I have received an email. Thanks!

I agree with a few posts from above. It would be nice to get some type of feedback if you are spending the $20 to enter your picture in the contest. Anything would be nice… maybe a follow up email from cutekid after winners have been posted. “Thanks again for entering our contest! We reviewed each photo carefully…. we appreciate your support, etc.”
By the way, I enjoy looking at all of the cute faces on the site!

I have entered my daughter on cute kid.com several month ago around October. I think this website is useful but only concern I have. I paid 20 dollars for each picture. I don’t understand how you guys can look at all those thousands of pictures and determine the winner. Who judges ALL the pictures the real judges or the pre-judges. I am just curious because I have entered the contest 5 times maybe and we have never gotten any feedback so you don’t know what you need to do different or if my kid just doesn’t have the look or what. I don’t mind not winning but I would like to know what the judges are looking for and if my daughter just does not have what the industry is looking for. It cost alot of money to post these pictures and if I am wasting my time because my daughter not ” it” I would like to know. Or if she needs to do something different or take another kind of picture. Any feedback would be good negative or positive because I feel like i am just giving away 70 dollars just because. I just need more clarification before I continue to send my money in because this could go on forever. I send in a picture she doesn’t get selected that month I send in another she doesn’t get selected. This is a crazy cycle. I am not asking to win I am asking if she should even try and what we could do different or if she is just not cute.
that would be good to know too. As parents we all think our little ones are cute but sometimes we are looking through mom eyes and not the real world eyes. We can’t see that our child may look like a little gremlin.lol I don’t mind knowing though because it could save me alot of money.

I’m really at a loss. I’m not sure what this website is looking for in a pic. I’ve entered 3 incredible pics into 3 different months, but to my surprise was not even an Honorable Mention. Does a lot ride on where we are from? I’ve looked through all the previous winners and didn’t see one winner from Oklahoma. Most winners are from New York. Am I wasting my money by entering my child in these contests? Please help.

Good job on this site! I think parents should know the ins and outs of baby modeling because there are many unscrupulous individuals who want to rip off unsuspecting parents. Just a suggestion, maybe you can put up a section in which it discusses baby modeling tips, legit agencies, etc.

Thanks for writing. We post the sneak peeks in our newsletters which always mail on Thursdays. Keep in mind judges do not vote on the month’s winner until the month is completely over. For a better chance to be a sneak peek, be sure to get your photo in early. Good luck!

My son is 7 yrs old, he his ethnic looking, dark skin, big brown eyes and a head full of shaggy hair, he loves to take pics and loves clothes, has the personality and drive of a grown up! He really wants to do this, but I cannot afford to hire someone to take professional shots. We also live in Alabama where there isnt much here, but we are willing to travel anywhere, does he have a chance at anything with just the regular snapshots i’ve taken him? Do you know of any legit child modeling agencies in the southeast or anywhere who would see him? Ive posted several pics of him on Cute Kid but I was told if you are ever asked to pay then dont do it….so Id like some help. His name is Evan and he has just turned 8….any info would help.

I wanted to say thank you to the both of you for the hard work and great service you provided. I’m sure Kim was probably tired of my emails every 30 days advicing her that I had not received my canvas, however, she was still able to provide me great service. She then transferred me to Patt. All it took was two emails to Patt to get it resolved. The first one was explaining the situation (Paid for the canvas in March and had not received it yet as of June), and the second one was to reply to her response. Two days after that I get another email from patt stating they were going to ship the canvas to me via traceable carrier and then I finally got it.
Thank you again to the both of you for your dedication and hard work. I’m sure you make a lot of parents happy every day. Keep up the great work.

Thank you sooo much! From the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how happy you’ve made me. I’ve been trying for so long to download Olivia’s photo on my phone with no success. A few times I tried to download photos into my account but couldn’t figure out how to load without entering the contest. I do want to enter all the contest but I just want to put Olivia in other photos hoping to win a contest entry. You are wonderful, thoughtful and kind for helping me. Olivia is my only child. To have a baby at 40 wasn’t easy for me, especially since I chose to do it as a single parent. But all I feel now is blessed. So proud of her that I want to share her
with the world. Tomorrow I’ll be entering her while I use the computer at the library. Wasn’t able to download there either cause they don’t have photo applications to disc there. I would say all the new features on the CuteKid are wonderful and so helpful. To have people there to give advice on the modeling industry and where to start, that is great. I am from a small area and the closest city to me is Pittsburgh, PA. So it might be a little more difficult to put my baby into modeling, but I am very willing to travel to have my baby start modeling. It is always nice, though, to have someone there to ask all the questions to.
Also, I like the new feature that you can see with the gold seal who is in the contest! It’s always nice knowing what cute kids your child is up against. It has to be such a difficult decision picking the winners because there are so many adorable entries.
I plan on entering Kaylin in the contest either this month or next, especially. Am excited for that “chance”. She has a wonderful personality and is so beautiful. She reminds me of the ultimate baby model!

Thank you so much, Judy, the CuteKid spokesperson! Thanks for the advice and kind words. I always thought my daughter had a unique look, but then again I am her mother. And yes I did get the “The Company Kids” contest from your site. I also won a contest on The Cute Kids MySpace website, so I entered her in the March contest. Hoping to at least win her age group, but I have seen the competition and it will be hard.
