Robert Pattinson's Style

Robert Pattinson, aka Edward Cullen, has been touted as a modern-day James Dean. RP has a style all his own, and once you get past his distracting hair, you can see that he’s actually a really cool dresser.

What’s interesting about RP is that he looks the same whether he’s posing for a photo shoot or walking through an airport terminal. He’s all about casual — jeans, T-shirt, and some five o’clock shadow.

Any guy can copy Rob’s style:

Best Celebrity Haircuts for Boys 2009

Written by Mary Fetzer on August 13, 2009 – 11:14 pm -

Girls aren’t the only ones wanting to have the latest hairstyles. Guys today spend a ton of money and effort getting just the right look. So, what is the “right look” for back-to-school 2009? Take a cue from some of today’s hottest celebrities:

Best Haircuts for Boys 2009The hunky “Gossip Girl” star Chace Crawford has THE look. It may seem like he just rolled out of bed, but that carefree look is the product of styling gel, highlights, and the perfect cut. Chace’s long bangs play up his gorgeous baby blue eyes. This style looks best on guys with chiseled facial features. One thing’s for sure… however Chace wears his hair in the upcoming remake of Footloose, it’ll look better than Kevin Bacon’s!

Best Haircuts for Boys 2009Some guys hate their curly hair, but Jake T. Austin of Disney’s “The Wizards of Waverly Place” knows how to work it. The Hotel for Dogs heartthrob once wore his hair to his shoulders. His new, shorter cut is more grown-up and masculine. Jake wears a side part and lets the curls go where they may. We’ve got our eye on this young man — he’s a “natural” as a little league baseball player in 2009’s The Perfect Game.

Best Haircuts for Boys 2009Then there’s Taylor Lautner. Sure, we love the long, luscious locks he wears as werewolf Jacob in Twilight and New Moon, but his cropped coif shows off his adorable half boy/half man features so beautifully! Taylor’s hair looks like it could suffer some serious cowlicks, but he’s got things under control with tons of layers. Long hair, short hair — heck, even bald — Taylor looks good.

Some obvious omissions from this post are Robert Pattinson (too wild), David Beckham (too shaved), and Zac Efron (too High School Musical). Tell us which hot Hollywood hunk you think has the best hair.

Not Just for Vampires: Pale Is the Hot New Look

Written by Mary Fetzer on March 23, 2009 – 11:18 pm -

The immensely popular Twilight movie stars some of the most gorgeous people we’ve ever seen. The pale, smooth-as-marble skin of Edward, Alice, Rosalie, and the rest of the Cullen vampires exemplify the beauty of fair skin.

twilight Not Just for Vampires: Pale Is the Hot New Look

For decades, tanned celebs led scores of teens to hit the tanning beds and beaches — with little or no protection — in search of that golden look of Hollywood. Sadly, tanned skin is damaged skin, and many sunbathers are now paying a heavy price for their tanning indulgences. Dermatologists and plastic surgeons are making a fortune helping prematurely aged stars look young again, while other medical professionals are coming to the aid of unfortunate sun worshipers who suffer from deadly skin cancer.

Some stars decided to take a safer route, opting for spray-on and other artificial tans notoriously referred to as the orange-y fake bake. But more and more young celebrities are embracing their porcelain skin and bringing a new-found glamour to pale. Here are just a few of these natural beauties:

Abigail Breslin — 12-year-old Kit Kittredge really is “an American Girl”

Avril Lavigne — Lavigne makes pale look hot, whether she’s rocking out on the music scene or designing clothes on the fashion scene

Emma Roberts — Julia’s niece has three movies coming out in 2009

Daniel Radcliffe — Harry Potter bared more than just his fair face in the much talked-about play, Equus

Frances Bean Cobain

Kristen Stewart
Twilight’s “Bella Swan” doesn’t have to change into a vampire to flaunt her smooth skin

Are you ready to embrace your fair complexion?

Who Wore It Better: Robert Pattinson or Zac Efron?

Written by Mary Fetzer on March 4, 2009 – 9:42 am -

New heartthrob Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame and High School Musical’s Zac Efron wore identical Dolce & Gabbana tuxes to the Oscars… but they arrived on the red carpet looking very different.

robert 1 Who Wore It Better: Robert Pattinson or Zac Efron?Sexy Robert Pattinson — a.k.a. Edward Cullen, vampire extraordinaire — impressed the fashion critics with his tailored-yet-not-stiff look. The impeccable tux contrasted perfectly with Pattinson’s bronze, tousled hair and slightly scruffy facial hair. The phenom looked like anything but a newcomer as he made his way through the adoring crowd.

zac efron Who Wore It Better: Robert Pattinson or Zac Efron?Handsome Zac Efron, on the other hand, paid tribute to Old Hollywood with slicked-back hair and a clean-shaven face. With gorgeous girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, on his arm, popular Efron had no trouble capturing the attention of an adoring crowd.

So who wore it better? Penguin suits sometimes give their wearers a certain “waiter” appeal, and Efron’s formal coif cemented that perception for me. The casual formal pulled off by Pattinson, on the other hand, makes him the clear winner.

I choose the vampirehow about you?
