This is the year for bangs. Bangs draw attention to beautiful eyes, frame a pretty face, and help an imperfect forehead. These days you’ll find bangs on everyone from J-Lo and Beyonce to Halle Berry and Jessica Alba.

But no one sports bangs better than our favorite celebrity kids. Their moms know bangs are the simplest way to keep hair out of their kids’ eyes. Some little ones wear them wispy, others full. Find the style that’s right for your little girl (and maybe for you, too!):

Full bangs
Suri Cruise and Valentina look adorable in classic full bangs. This style works best with super-straight hair. For really thick hair, full bangs lessen the bulkiness and make hair easier to style and manage. Other celebs with full bangs include Paris Hilton, Liv Tyler, Jada Pinkett Smith, Zooey Deschanel, Naomi Campbell, and Mena Suvari.

Side-swept bangs
Wear these bangs brushed to one side or pulled back. Selena Gomez and Mandy Moore flaunt their gorgeous features with just a fringe of hair brushed off to one side. Side-swept bangs can be worn long or short and flatter every face shape, like Ashley Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Ashley Olsen, and Nicole Richie.

Choppy bangs
This fun style really plays up the eyes. Amanda Peet’s daughter, Frances, shows off her precious peepers and tames her wispy locks with short bangs. Twilight’s beloved Alice has started a new trend with her pixie look. Choppy bangs — like those worn by Jennifer Hudson, Katie Holmes, Penelope Cruz, and Lisa Rinna are best for delicate features and heart-shaped faces. Gals with curly hair or full faces may want to avoid this style.

Baby bangs
Think “little girl with bangs” and the first image that comes to mind are the adorable old-fashioned baby bangs. This super-short fringe is adorable on the smaller set — just check out Matilda Ledger. But moms can pull the look off, too. Just be sure to sweep them off to one side (like Angela Bassett), so you don’t look like you’re 4 years old! Stars who can wear baby bangs include Sharon Stone, Charlize Theron, and Victoria Beckham.
