10 Best Dressed Teens in Tinseltown, Part 2
Written by Mary Fetzer on October 26, 2009 – 4:24 pm -Click to access >> 10 Best Dressed Teens in Tinseltown, Part 1
Our kids worry about how they look for school, the mall, the football game… not the red carpet. That’s why my picks for the best-dressed teen celebrities is based on what the stars look like when they’re not modeling for the paparazzi.
#5 Chace Crawford
It’s probably unfair to put Chace Crawford on a best-dressed list. With a face and physique like his, Chace would look chic in a paper bag.
But the Gossip Girl star really does look his best when he’s not filming. Whether he’s wearing a white T-shirt or a Yankees ball cap, Chace drives the girls crazy.
Who else would rock a pair of Diesel Revick 88Z jeans (left) like Chace?

#4 Minka Kelly
Is it possible that Minka inherited her fashion sense from her parents? Doubt it — Dad’s an Aerosmith guitarist, and Mom’s a former Vegas showgirl.
The Friday Night Lights beauty always looks amazing.
Here (left) Minka struts her stuff in a pair of Hudson Signature bootcut jeans. Wow. And her furry friend makes the perfect accessory!

#3 Zac Efron
Zac once said that he’s “an actor who can sing a little bit.” But after his performances in High School Musical and Hairspray, it appears he can do both… and more.
What’s not to like about Zac? He’s talented, handsome, devoted to his girlfriend, has great hair, and always looks fab.
This (left) is how he dresses to get a bite to eat at Hugo’s Restaurant.

#2 Demi Lovato
Disney’s newest rising star is Demi Lovato. The star of Camp Rock, Princess Protection Program, and Sonny with a Chance is also a rising star on the fashion front.
Demi likes to take risks trying anything from neon pink lipstick to gothic chains and studs.
Her unique style really shines here (left) in this IRO Vardith cotton vest paired with ripped jeans and strappy black boots.
It’ll be interesting to see how Demi transitions from funky teen to young adult.
#1 Leighton Meester
Gossip Girl Blair Waldorf has access to the finest fashions. Sometimes it’s tough to tell if Leighton Meester, who plays Blair, is wearing her own duds or something from the show.
Leighton has superb taste. Here she is (left) out on the town in Phi zip black leather pants and a Proenza Schouler Resort 2010 bag.
Leighton has the best fashion instincts (or maybe the best stylist?) in Tinsel Town.

Lindsay Lohan, Eryn Brinie, and French Fashion for Teens
Written by Mary Fetzer on October 7, 2009 – 2:15 pm -
While visiting Paris last month, Lindsay Lohan tamed her wild-girl image with a gorgeous cream-color fleece vest (right). Much to every mom’s delight, last year’s ripped jeans and goth styles are out. This season, teens are expressing their fashion sense with flowy, feminine pieces that are great for layering or as stand-alone pieces.
Eryn brinié, a Korean clothing company, creates beautiful French-inspired pieces for young women. Located at 501 Broadway in NYC, this premium clothing company offers affordable, high-qualify coats and jackets, dresses and denim, handbags, shoes, and jewelry. Check out some of the newest trends by Eryn brinié:
Young women can get Lindsay Lohan’s look with this designer-style suede and faux fur vest (left). It can be worn with a fitted skirt of a pair of boyfriend jeans.
Beige sheepskin vest, $171
Speaking of boyfriends, Eryn brinié has the cutest boyfriend-style pants (right). The black color and poly/rayon fabric make these pants dressier than jeans, and the boyfriend cut makes them more casual that typical dress slacks. Teens won’t mind “dressing up” in this kind of style!
Black boyfriend pants, $107
Plaid is the pattern of choice this fall, and Eryn brinié has just the thing.
This brown-and-blue cotton plaid shirt dress (left) incorporates plaid without the lumberjack feel. The snap-front dress has pockets and an extra-long belt. It can be worn leggings and ballet flats or played up with a pair of heels.
Plaid shirtdress, $129
Is it a coat? Is it a dress? Yes… and it’s a cable-knit oversized sweater!
This versatile piece can be worn as a dress (right) — just add a pair of black suede boots. It w0uld look good with skinny jeans, colorful leggings, or any casual outfit.
Oversize sweater, $129
Find these and more Eryn brinié fashions at Revolve clothing.com.

Joe Jonas Wears His Support
Written by Mary Fetzer on June 25, 2009 – 12:35 am -
Joe Jonas of The Jonas Brothers exhibits class in not only his actions but also in his apparel. Joe is a proud supporter of H.E.L.P., a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing Hope, Education, Love, and Protection to children everywhere.
Jillian Wolstein founded HELP in 2006, after witnessing the poverty and hardships faced by millions of children throughout the world every day. The foundation established its first programs in Malawi, Africa, with the goal of carrying out its mission on a global scale.
Join Joe Jonas, Camilla Belle, and Star Trek’s Zoe Saldana as they promote the HELP cause for children in Malawi and all over the world. Visit the HELP site, shop for jewelry, apparel, and other merchandise, and learn more about Malawi and HELP programs.

Joe (left) is wearing the Panthera Collection Leather Necklace for H.E.L.P. while Camilla (right) proudly wears reused, restyled, recycled, earth friendly Chifundo African Trade Bead Bracelets, which are reused, restyled, recycled, and earth friendly.

If jewelry’s not your thing, shout out your support like Zoe with a T-shirt, hoodie, or even boxer shorts emblazoned with “H.E.L.P Malawi” or “What love means.” Apparel prices range from $15 to $40.
H.E.L.P is an excellent organization. Tell us about your favorite charity…

Bumble Bells Bling: Jewelry for Babies
Written by Mary Fetzer on June 1, 2009 – 11:16 am -
If Zuma Rossdale wears them, then they must be cool.
In a recent issue, People magazine featured the little bald trendsetter sporting an adorable ankle bracelet on his pudgy left leg.
Now your little fashionista can show off some baby bling, too. Slip an anklet from Bumble Bells onto those chubby ankles, and you’re sure to hear the oohs and aahs of admirers.
This is how the creator of Bumble Bells found her inspiration:
It all started when Mommy took a trip to Thailand. She saw a little boy toddling around in beautiful silver anklets with tiny bells on them. Everywhere he went, his parents could hear him toddling. And that sweet sound of his bumbling footsteps made Mommy swear that when she had a baby, she would procure herself a pair of those adorable anklets.
Bumble Bells offer both gold and silver charms, ID bracelets, and anklets. And the ASTM-certification means they’re safe for your little one. Shop Bumble Bells online, where there’s something for every pocketbook — from $45 sterling silver Classic Bells to $575 gold Sea Shell Bells.
Bumble Bells “audible anklewear” is expandable to grow with your baby and comes in three sizes: NewBee (0-9 months), WorkerBee (9 months-4 years), and BusyBee (4-9 years). And a portion of every pair sold goes to Head Start, a successful school readiness program for low-income children and their families.
Help celebrity fans like Gwen Stefani, Jenny Garth, and Courtney Cox spread the word: “Bumble Bells are the original baby tracking device… safe, beautiful and above all, practical. You’ll never misplace your baby again!”
Tell us: How do you track your baby’s every move?

Big Sunglasses Help You Look Your Best in No Time!
Written by Mary Fetzer on April 1, 2009 – 1:32 pm -Moms are busy. Always putting the kids first means you sometimes don’t look your best. Whether your baby was up all night and you didn’t get any shut-eye, or you had to pack three school lunches this morning and didn’t get time to apply your makeup, you just look tired.
To hide those dark circles, take a cue from the celebrities. When going out about the town without the benefit of their personal makeup artist, superstars just slip on a pair of enormous sunglasses and somehow look entirely glamorous. When it comes to eye protection, bigger is better. Sure, oversized sunglasses shield your eyes from the sun and wind, but more importantly they look fa-a-a-bulous! Slip on a pair of giant specs and you’ll instantly feel like a superstar.
Especially fashionable are the huge aviator-style sunglasses. Victoria “Posh” Beckham pairs them with bikinis and couture alike. But you don’t have to drop $400 for a pair of Gucci’s. Pick up a pair for under $20 (and same-day shipping!) at Sunglass Warehouse.
Kristen Stewart hides Bella’s eyes behind 80’s-style metal frames. Modern Glasses Heart Black Fashion Metal Frame sunglasses are a steal at just $5.99. They’re available for women and girls.
Look like a movie star in the big, black shades often seen on Vanessa Hudgens. Your fans will hardly recognize you in a pair of handmade Hoven Big Risky Sunglasses in Black Gloss. Shop Spydersurf for free shipping on orders over $75.
Add a little color to your ensemble with chic red sunglasses like Hillary Duff’s. You can get her look with a pair of Steve Madden shades for just $34.95 at Shoe Buy.
Miley Cyrus looks cool and casual with her round lenses and clear frames. Get this fun look at Wal-Mart with No Boundaries Compass Sunglasses… just $5!
Ashley Tisdale pulls off a fun, stylish look with bright red frames. They’re youthful and trendy and come in just about every color you can imagine. The Belt Outlet sells Elieshades Boutique line of sunglasses in a myriad of designs and shades. Get Ashley’s look with ALLIE Designer Square Plastic Sunglasses for $19.95!
Audrina Partridge sports what Macy’s calls “deliberate style with a chic urban shape.” These ultra-cool shades are comfy and practical without being boring. The Jessica Simpson Shield Sunglasses ($50 at Macy’s) are available in black, gold, matte platinum and tortoise/blue.
Protect your eyes and show off your fashion sense with flair. When it comes to shades, remember that bigger is better.
Tell us why you wear sunglasses?
a. To protect your eyes
b. to look cool
c. to hide from your friends
